The 4th Finnish-Russian Photonics and Laser Symposium - PALS 2009 - will be held in Tampere, Finland, during May 24 – 27, 2009. The Symposium is an international joint meeting that follows the previous symposia held in Saratov (2003), Kajaani (2005), and Moscow (2007).

PALS 2009 is aimed at establishing collaboration between Finnish and Russian research centers and businesses in the fields of photonics and laser physics. The Symposium provides a timely forum for presenting novel and innovative achievements in physics, technologies and device applications.
